Time is a relative of mine…

The relative’s name is Vlad. He’s the newest addition to our family, having been adopted on Tuesday. While I must say it’s odd to have a cat sans tail, he’s all kitty everywhere else. Well, he’s been fixed, but we’ll set that issue aside. We’re not sure if he’s really a bona fide Manx (he’d be a riser if he was, not quite a true rumpy), but he’s got most of the characteristics. In any case, he’s an awesome cat that has a new home to rule.

Okay, back to the whole time reference. If anybody looks, I live in Virginia Beach. However, the time I chose for my posts is not EST. For those who hate the math involved, the not-so-local time is for Vladivostok, Russia. This is in honor of Vlad the Cat. It could also have something to do with my somewhat perverse sense of humor, or the plethora of choices in the pull-down menu. Personally, I think Vlad is on Vladivostok time, seeing how he’s asleep during (our) daylight hours, and awake when I’m trying to sleep. Chyort znayet.

My name is Anna, and I have a blogging problem.

I have tried blogging four times in the past year or so, and I haven’t quite gotten into it. I’m here to try again. My best attempt was a political blog that I used to rant and rave about my personal ideals, and yet it just didn’t work out the way I wanted. I’ve blogged about my depression, and let’s just say it wasn’t a very fun read. This is my attempt to start fresh (again), and hopefully it’ll keep me going. I’m not going to type about one single thing; this is going to be my ode to how self-centered I’ve always hoped to be. I suppose I can yak a tad about my family too… after all, they’re the root of my insanity. And yes, I’ll toss in a post or two about current events, as I work very hard to prevent the atrophy of the mind that staying at home tends to breed. Of course, I’m really hoping that I’ll get a following of a few readers (seriously, one or two would make me very happy), and that I’ll be able to put a different kind of thought in someone’s head for a day. Yup, something like that.
